Google search method usage analysis

This report examines the prevelance of various Google search methods, including:
  • Browser - Since all mainstream browsers have incorporated a search box that is permanently a part of the browser GUI, many users use this as their primary method of launching web searches
  • Toolbar - A search utilizing the Google browser toolbar found at toolbar.google.com
  • Home Page - A search made directly on Google's home page (www.google.com)
  • Refined - Searches that are different then the original query. An example would be someone that didn't find what they were looking or and performed another search.
